LOCATION
Border zone between Terrassa and Matadepera, Barcelona province
DESCRIPTION
2005
The Tiana house is located on a very unique site in Terrassa, with extraordinary views and, curiously, very natural surroundings. It is surrounded by trees to the point that its final position was completely defined by the existing woods, which were almost completely preserved.
One of the conditions that we proposed was to be able to access rooms on both levels from the property. There is thus a main entrance on the upper floor, that contains the bedrooms, which respects the existing vegetation, and another access point from the lower levels of the house, where the living and dining rooms and the kitchen are found, that connects directly to the conventional garden and pool area.
The sensation of space, light, and life that exists in this house is very agreeable. It provides a sense of direct contact with nature, and a natural tranquility that is usually found only in spaces located far away from the bustle of the city.
